Leveraging the Group’s robust resource advantages, it is dedicated to the innovation and R&D of new stainless steel materials, products, and equipment. The company has a dedicated R&D team and several enterprise R&D centers at or above the provincial level. It is equipped with nearly 100 pieces of R&D instrumentation and collaborates with universities such as Beijing University of Science and Technology, Shandong University of Science and Technology, and the Yangtze River Delta Institute of Physics on industry-academia-research initiatives. Focus has been placed on in-depth research in areas such as corrosion resistance, high/low-temperature endurance, and high strength. Breakthroughs have been achieved in technologies including high-speed continuous wire drawing, ultra-clean surface treatment, and the deposition of ultra-thin, stable coatings. Primarily driven by independent innovation, with industry–university–research collaboration and supply-chain coordination serving as complementary enablers, the core technologies are fully domestically owned and under independent control.

In terms of technological achievements, Tenglong has consistently embraced a pioneering spirit of innovation and transformation. Over the years, the company has continuously introduced new ideas and solutions across multiple key areas, including R&D, process optimization, and management upgrades. By increasing R&D investment and refining its innovation framework, the company has cumulatively secured 106 patents of various types, fully demonstrating its deep technological expertise and innovative capabilities within the industry. In particular, in the field of new materials research and development, Tenglong has focused on pioneering a range of innovative products, including nib-grade steel, duplex stainless steel welding consumables, nickel-based alloy welding consumables, electric heating alloy wires, medical-grade stainless steel wire, as well as pure nickel wire and titanium wire. These advancements have not only resulted in significant technological breakthroughs but have also successfully achieved industrial-scale commercialization, moving from the laboratory to the market. This has provided robust support for technological progress and industrial upgrading across relevant sectors.
